My Assessor job role for the College of West Anglia was to deliver dog grooming workshops and training programmes, observe candidates in their workplaces and provide feedback about standards that are not being met in their duties of dog grooming. Also to record student progress and exam protfolios.

Assessors are professionals in their field who can identify skills that students have and focus on areas of improvement. By being an assessor i feel that it is vital that your dog groomer is trained properly and thoroughly qualified for the health and wellbeing of dog and groomer. At current the sad fact is that anyone with clippers and a pair of scissors can call themselves a dog groomer which can be very dangerous, without having any real skill or knowledge of so many potential risks attached to working with animals .
